GS Charters-

San Francisco Bay Sailing

With GS Charters, you go sailing aboard Gentle Storm II, a Catalina 42 sailboat.

When you call  you talk with Rick Niles, the original owner ofcaptain Rick Gentle Storm II and your skipper.

You may custom tailor your San Francisco Bay sailing day to just about anything, as long as we remain in San Francisco Bay and nearby off-shore.

We have regular sailing tours, but they only serve as a starting point for ideas. There are a number of places to go. And many ways to spend a day sailing on San Francisco Bay.

We only do private sailing charters and tours and we sail year around. Snacks a light lunch and beverages are a part of your sailing charter package

We don’t go out in strong winter storms, so reservation dates will have work around those conditions. By Monday or Tuesday of any given week, we have a good idea as to the timing of winter storms and take a conservative approach in booking dates.

Rick Niles has been sailing all his life and has owned numerous boats, both power and sail. He built his first boat at age 10 and never been without one since. Gentle Storm is fifth sailboat and fourth in a continual upgrade in the Catalina line. He has done numerous California coastal trips and to Mexico twice.  He has also sailed in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, South Pacific and New England. He has raced on many different types of boats on San Francisco Bay since age 14. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard captains license and would love to introduce you to the world of life on the water.

Rick is also an author of thrillers and mysteries working under the name of R.A. Niles.
